Google Calendar on Android is getting a major update with full Google Tasks integration. Soon, users will be able to view and manage all their tasks and lists in one full-screen view, making it easier to stay organized on the go.
Currently, Google Calendar only allows users to create and view tasks with due dates. The update will expand this functionality, giving users access to tasks without due dates and all their task lists in a new Tasks tab located at the top of the screen. This feature mirrors the expanded Tasks functionality already available on Google Calendar on the web.
Despite the changes, the standalone Google Tasks app isnโt going away. It will still offer the home screen widget and other features not available in Calendar.
This Google Tasks integration in Calendar for Android is rolling out in the coming weeks, with no word yet on when it will reach iOS users.
