Google has made NotebookLM Plus, its premium AI note-taking assistant, available to individual users.

Anyone with a Google One AI Premium subscription can now access the service, which was previously only available to enterprise customers.

NotebookLM Plus offers significantly more features than its free version. Users get five times more capacity, including 500 notebooks, 300 sources per notebook, 500 daily chat queries, and 20 audio generations per day.

The service is available through Google One AI Premium, which costs $20 monthly. Students over 18 in the U.S. can get a 50% discount, paying $9.99 monthly.

Kelly Schaefer, director at Google Labs, says the company has seen strong interest from consumers and students since NotebookLM’s launch in 2023.

The service gained popularity after introducing Audio Overviews, which creates podcast-style conversations from uploaded content. Google plans to add support for languages beyond English to this feature.

Google is also developing a mobile app for NotebookLM and exploring new features using reasoning models. The company promises to maintain quality service for free users while offering extra features to Plus subscribers.

Recent data shows NotebookLM has attracted significant user interest, with 28.18 million visits in the past three months, including nearly 9 million visits in January alone.
