Google Announces Dates for I/O 2025 – Here’s What You Can Expect

Google has officially announced that its next I/O developer conference will take place on May 20th and 21st, 2025.

The highly anticipated event will be accessible to everyone online, with livestreamed keynotes and sessions, as stated in the company’s FAQ.

As in previous years, there will also be an in-person component held at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California.

A Puzzle Game and the Timing

Google, known for using creative puzzle games to reveal event details, launched a fun challenge to announce the dates for I/O 2025.

This year’s event overlaps with Microsoft’s Build conference, which takes place from May 19th to May 22nd.

Last Year’s I/O Highlights

The 2024 Google I/O event, which started on May 14th, was packed with exciting announcements, including new Gemini AI features, the Project Astra AI assistant, and Veo, the company’s generative AI video model.

Additionally, Google Search received a major AI overhaul. The event also featured new hardware such as the Pixel Fold, Pixel Tablet, and Pixel 7A.
