Xiaomi may be phasing out the POCO Launcher in favour of its System Launcher as part of the HyperOS 2 rollout.

The POCO Launcher last received an update in July 2024, and there have been no announcements about further development.

    Why Replace POCO Launcher?

Xiaomi wants a unified software experience for all its devices, including POCO, Redmi, and Xiaomi models.

The System Launcher aligns with HyperOS 2 and offers:

    • AI Optimization: Faster, smoother, and smarter interactions.
    • Feature Parity: Consistent features across all Xiaomi devices.
    • Regular Updates: Frequent updates for better performance and bug fixes.

POCO Devices Likely to Get HyperOS 2

Over the next 10 days, Xiaomi is expected to announce POCO devices that will receive HyperOS 2. Likely candidates include:

    • POCO F5 Pro
    • POCO X6 Pro
    • POCO X5 Pro 5G
    • POCO M6 Pro
    • POCO Pad

What to Expect from HyperOS 2

    The System Launcher will bring:

    • AI-Infused Features: Smarter search and seamless multitasking.
    • Faster Updates: More frequent updates for better performance.
    • Unified Design: A cleaner, modern interface across devices.

The switch to the System Launcher could improve performance and consistency for POCO users.

As Xiaomi rolls out HyperOS 2 globally, stay tuned for updates on which POCO devices will get the new experience.
