Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Reveals Castle Black, Winterfell, and New Mythical Creatures

Following the recent Closed Beta Test, Netmarble has shared exciting new details and gameplay snippets of their upcoming action/adventure game, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, coming soon to iOS, Android, and PC.

Iconic Locations and New Mythical Creatures

In their recent post on X, Netmarble teased two of the most iconic locations in the Game of Thrones universe: Castle Black, with its towering ice wall, and Winterfell, the ancestral home of House Stark.

Players will get to explore these legendary sites as part of an immersive cooperative multiplayer experience.

Additionally, the developers unveiled new fantastical creatures, some of which are drawn from the lesser-known lore of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series.

These creatures will feature prominently in boss encounters within the Altar of Memories cooperative mode.

• Ice Spiders – Massive, venomous spiders, once ridden by the White Walkers, found in dark caves and spreading webs.
• Stormhorn Unicorns – Rare and powerful creatures from the island of Skagos, wielding lightning and thunder.
• Ironbeak Griffins – Majestic predators from the Westerlands, known for their sharp talons and formidable power.
• Red Cockatrice – A grotesque fusion of dragon and rooster, deadly in battle with sharp claws and beaks.

The footage also briefly reveals an epic battle against Field Boss Drogon, the black dragon belonging to Daenerys Targaryen.

New Story and Character Customization

In Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, players take on the role of a new character who becomes the heir to House Tyre, a lesser noble house in Northern Westeros.

Players will be able to customize their character through a detailed character creator and choose between three distinct classes: Sellsword, Knight, or Assassin.

These classes are inspired by the core archetypes seen throughout the Game of Thrones series.
