Fortnite is hosting a Metallica event in June, offering players a unique experience with the band’s music, themed cosmetics, and quests to unlock exclusive items.
Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you complete the Metallica Quests and earn rewards:
Metallica Quests
The Metallica Quests are divided into two sections: Encore Session Quests and standard Metallica Quests.
Encore Session Quests
- Jam near a Jam Statue: Find Jam Statues at various locations like The Underworld, Lavish Lair, Pleasant Piazza, Dam Bridge, Mount Olympus, Megalo Depot, and Peabois HQ. Jam near the statue for 5 seconds to start the Encore Session.
- Collect Metallica Music Notes: Search chest containers or eliminate enemies to collect Metallica Music Notes. As you collect more Notes, you’ll gradually reveal the Metallica Rises loading screen.
Standard Metallica Quests
- Spray Metallica concert images at different locations: Spray Metallica concert images at Restored Reels, Sandy Steppes, and Reckless Railways.
- Visit the floating Metallica Loot Island stage: The floating Metallica island will spawn on the map once the fourth Storm Circle forms. Head there by taking the ascenders or the rifts underneath the island.
- Collect the Ride the Lightning Item: Find the Ride the Lightning Guitar by visiting guaranteed spawn locations, claiming the Metallica Loot Island, or searching chest containers. Hit an opponent or a vehicle a total of 21 times to complete the quest.
Rewards
For completing most Metallica Quests, you’ll earn 10,000 XP. Additionally, you’ll receive an exclusive Metallica Lightning Star spray for completing the “Spray Metallica concert images at different locations” quest.
Premium Reward Track
To unlock the full band skins, you must purchase the Premium Reward Track for 1,800 V-Bucks as part of the Fortnite Festival Season 4 Pass. Then, earn Festival Points to unlock the skins:
- Lars Ulrich: Unlocked when you buy the Premium Reward Track
- Robert Trujillo: Earn 2,000 Festival Points and own the Premium Reward Track
- Kirk Hammett: Earn 9,000 Festival Points and own the Premium Reward Track
- James Hetfield: Earn 11,000 Festival Points and own the Premium Reward Track
You can also buy the Puppet Master variants from the Item Shop for 1,500 V-Bucks each or as part of the Metallica Bundle for 3,400 V-Bucks. This bundle includes additional items like back bling and contrails.
Event Timeline
The Metallica Quests will be available until July 2 at 9 AM ET. Make sure to complete as many quests as possible before they’re no longer available.
