Harlem rapper Ferg recently sat down with journalist Touré to discuss his career and the future of A$AP Mob. While promoting his latest album Darold, Ferg revealed that A$AP is no longer active.

“There’s not a Cozy Tape, a new one. There’s not an office, there’s not a record label, A$AP Worldwide. I think it’s a thing of the past,” Ferg said on the podcast. He added that while A$AP Mob created a lasting legacy, it no longer exists in its original form.

Ferg explained that he and A$AP Rocky were the main faces of the music side of the collective, but without new projects, there’s no A$AP.

He officially dropped “A$AP” from his name in 2021, initially for business ventures outside the group. Now, he’s fully moved on.

Reflecting on A$AP Mob’s success, Ferg shared, “We came together as a collective to do something positive and create opportunities for ourselves and our families. We killed it. We did that for 12 years.”

Ferg’s comments mark the end of an era for A$AP Mob fans, but he continues to focus on his solo career, with Darold showcasing his growth as an artist.
