Rapper Pooh Shiesty is set to release a new collaboration with GloRilla titled “Mane” on 25 June, but the announcement has sparked debate online due to ongoing tensions involving Gucci Mane and Yo Gotti.
The track was previewed in a studio video shared on social media. Reports suggest it may have been recorded before Pooh Shiesty’s recent legal issues earlier this year. The timing, along with the song’s title, has led fans to question its connection to existing disputes between the artists.
The controversy centres on long-standing rivalries within the Memphis hip-hop scene. Gucci Mane has had past tensions with Yo Gotti, who leads the Collective Music Group (CMG) label, where GloRilla is signed. Pooh Shiesty was previously associated with Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records, adding further complexity to the situation.
Some fans have speculated that Pooh Shiesty was released from his contract with Gucci Mane under pressure, possibly to join Yo Gotti’s label. Others have suggested there may have been behind-the-scenes arrangements allowing the release of the collaboration without Gucci Mane’s approval. However, these claims remain unverified.
At the same time, some observers believe Gucci Mane could still benefit from the attention surrounding the song, regardless of the disputes. None of the artists involved have publicly clarified the situation.
Separately, Pooh Shiesty is currently involved in an ongoing legal case. He faces allegations of robbery and kidnapping involving Gucci Mane, and has been seeking bond after delays in the trial. Several co-defendants are also named in the case, including his father and fellow rapper Big30.
GloRilla, meanwhile, has continued her rise in the industry under CMG and appears to be less directly involved in the conflict. It remains unclear whether the release of “Mane” will intensify tensions or simply remain a musical collaboration.
