The track, a collaboration with Belly Gang Kushington, recently dropped alongside an official music video. One specific lyric has quickly caught attention for its reference to Ball’s recent car accident.

21 Savage has sparked conversation online after referencing LaMelo Ball in a new song titled “WTF Goin.”

At around the 2:23 mark, 21 Savage raps: “We crash and leave the scene like Lamelo Ball or somethin’.” The line appears during a high-energy verse and has since been widely discussed by fans on social media.

The lyric references an incident involving LaMelo Ball earlier this year. In February 2026, the NBA guard was involved in a car crash in Uptown Charlotte. Reports said his vehicle collided with another car, leaving visible damage, including a missing wheel.

Ball was not injured in the incident and later confirmed he was safe. Footage from the scene showed him leaving the area in another vehicle shortly after the crash. One person in the other car suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. No charges were filed.

“WTF Goin” follows a familiar pattern in hip-hop, where artists include real-life events and public figures in their lyrics. The reference adds a layer of current events to the track, which blends trap production with club-focused energy.

Early reactions to the song have been largely positive, with listeners praising the chemistry between the artists and the track’s replay value. At the same time, the lyric has divided opinion, with some seeing it as clever wordplay and others questioning the reference.

As the song continues to gain streams, the mention has brought renewed attention to both the track and the earlier incident involving LaMelo Ball.
