Drake has officially announced he will tour Australia in 2025, marking his return after nearly eight years.
While dates and venues are yet to be revealed, Drake teased stops in Melbourne, Sydney, and the Gold Coast. He hinted he may not visit other cities, narrowing the scope of his much-anticipated shows.
The tour, titled the Anita Max Wynn Tour, references a viral moment from Drakeโs December 2023 livestream on Kick, where he introduced an alter ego named after the gambling term โI need a max win.โ
The phrase gained massive popularity, sparking memes and TikTok trends, and now serves as the inspiration for his tour name.
The timing of the tour adds to the excitement, as it coincides with Kendrick Lamarโs Super Bowl halftime performance. Drake and Lamar have been engaged in a public musical rivalry this year, exchanging diss tracks like Lamarโs โNot Like Usโ and Drakeโs โPush Ups.โ
Fans are also eagerly awaiting Drakeโs upcoming joint album with PARTYNEXTDOOR. During a livestream, Drake revealed that the album is โ75 percent doneโ and praised its sound, saying it captures the duoโs signature style.
PARTYNEXTDOOR also confirmed the project is close to completion after wrapping up his European tour.
Drake last toured Australia in 2017 during his Boy Meets World Tour. His return in 2025 is highly anticipated and expected to draw massive crowds as one of the yearโs biggest live events.
