Three years after its rocky launch, Cyberpunk 2077 continues to evolve, with CD Projekt Red (CDPR) releasing Patch 2.21 and celebrating a major milestone in player reviews.
The game has now achieved an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, marking a significant turnaround from its troubled beginnings.
The latest patch introduces DLSS 4 support for NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards, set to go live on January 30. This update promises improved frame rates and reduced memory usage, enhancing the game’s performance for high-end systems.
Additionally, players can now choose between CNN and Transformer models for DLSS Reconstruction, Super Resolution, and DLAA on all GeForce GTX cards.
Patch 2.21 also addresses numerous bugs and issues, many of which were introduced in the previous 2.2 update. While CDPR has stated they are moving on to The Witcher 4 and the Cyberpunk sequel, “Orion,” they continue to surprise fans with unexpected updates.
CDPR is celebrating Cyberpunk 2077’s recent Steam reviews hitting “Overwhelmingly Positive,” with 95% of the last 12,698 reviews praising the game.
Overall, the game holds a “Very Positive” rating with 84% approval from 715,558 reviews. This achievement reflects the game’s remarkable recovery since its infamous launch, which was marred by technical issues and negative feedback.
Despite its rocky start, Cyberpunk 2077 has cemented itself as a beloved title for many players. CDPR’s commitment to improving the game has paid off, with its immersive world, engaging story, and stunning visuals earning it a place among the greats.
As the studio shifts focus to future projects, Cyberpunk 2077 stands as a testament to the power of perseverance and player-driven development.
