BTS’ J-Hope created a hilarious fan moment during his May 25 concert in Taipei, when he began personally handing out his iconic HOBI MONEY to the audience. What made the moment go viral wasn’t just the fanservice—it was the backstory.

The moment traces back to a Weverse livestream on May 18, where J-Hope was casually rewatching footage from one of his concerts. In one scene, a fan was hilariously caught using their toes to try and grab a stray piece of HOBI MONEY under a seat. J-Hope zoomed in on the screen and laughed, sharing it live with fans.

ARMYs immediately turned the situation into a meme, joking about how their desperate antics had been “exposed” by Hobi himself. Many saw his act of handing the money out—sometimes even kissing the bills before giving them away—as a cheeky, playful response.

Fans online couldn’t get enough of the moment:

    • “This will never not be funny.”
    • “Kissing the money is crazy.”
    • “He truly knows everything.”
    • “He’s a sweetheart but we’re also embarrassed.”

Adding to the fun, J-Hope was wearing a shirt that read “YES EYE SEE”—a perfect nod to the idea that he’s watching every hilarious fan moment.

HOPE ON THE STAGE Nears Its End as BTS Reunion Looms

J-Hope is currently wrapping up his HOPE ON THE STAGE world tour, which has brought energetic and emotional performances across Asia and beyond. The final stop will be in Osaka on June 1.

Encore shows are scheduled for June 13 and 14 in Goyang, perfectly timed with BTS’ 12th debut anniversary. Many fans are calling these concerts a “bridge” between J-Hope’s solo era and BTS’ long-awaited reunion, expected later this summer.

Adding to the celebration, J-Hope recently became the first male K-pop soloist to grace the cover of Billboard magazine. The interview highlighted his dedication to his solo craft, from music production to stage direction, earning him even more admiration from ARMY.

With the BTS reunion now just weeks away, anticipation is reaching fever pitch across the fandom.
