BLACKPINK Launches ‘DEADLINE’ World Tour With Cinematic Teaser Amid Fan Backlash

BLACKPINK has officially launched promotions for their 2025 “DEADLINE” World Tour with a striking trailer — and it’s already making waves.

On June 26, the K-pop supergroup dropped a cinematic teaser for their upcoming world tour featuring members Lisa, Rosé, Jisoo, and Jennie in bold cowboy-themed outfits.

The trailer opens with Rosé calling each member from a vintage phone booth, setting off a dramatic reunion. The four artists then hop into a car and speed off, beginning their global journey.

The trailer is the group’s first major promotional material for the tour and comes at a critical time. Many fans — known as BLINKs — had recently voiced frustration with YG Entertainment for not doing enough to promote the “DEADLINE” tour, which begins in just over a week.

    Tour Launch and Comeback Song

BLACKPINK’s DEADLINE tour will kick off on July 5–6 at Goyang Stadium in Seoul. The two-night event will mark the live debut of their new single, which has not yet been released online. After Seoul, the group will visit 16 cities across North America, Europe, Asia, and more.

The decision to debut the song during the concert — rather than releasing it beforehand — has drawn mixed reactions from fans. Some say it builds excitement, while others argue it reflects poor planning and a lack of attention to group promotions.

    Fans Divided

With members increasingly focusing on solo careers, many fans worry the group is drifting apart. Some BLINKs see the “DEADLINE” tour as a final chance to see the four perform together on a large scale. Others believe the tour proves that BLACKPINK still has strong group chemistry and global power.

Regardless of the concerns, the trailer’s release has reignited excitement among fans, especially with its nostalgic nod to BLACKPINK’s earlier eras and signature visuals.
