Asus Teases Ultra-Thin Zenbook with Snapdragon and 32-Hour Battery Life for CES 2025

Asus is gearing up for an exciting reveal at CES 2025, where the tech giant will showcase a new ultra-thin laptop that claims to be the world’s lightest Copilot+ PC.

This upcoming addition to the Zenbook series is expected to be a game-changer for professionals, creators, and everyday users alike, offering a perfect blend of elegance, functionality, and cutting-edge technology.

One of the standout features of this new laptop is its impressive battery life, with Asus claiming it can last up to 32 hours on a single charge.

This ambitious claim places the laptop among the top contenders in the energy efficiency race, especially considering the growing demand for longer-lasting devices.

However, as with all battery life claims, real-world performance often varies, depending on factors like usage, screen brightness, and background processes.

For context, a recent test of Lenovo’s Snapdragon-powered ThinkPad T14s Gen 6, which claimed up to 24 hours of battery life, achieved around 21 hours in real-world testing, still a remarkable result.

The laptop is likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X platform, known for its exceptional energy efficiency.

This could be a key factor in achieving the impressive battery life, as the Snapdragon X series is designed specifically for laptops that prioritize both performance and battery longevity.

In terms of weight, Asus’ new Zenbook will face stiff competition from brands like LG and Fujitsu. LG’s Gram series, which is renowned for its lightweight design and durability, offers laptops weighing under 1kg, while Fujitsu’s Lifebook UH-X series features models weighing under 900 grams.

Asus will need to deliver both on portability and performance to stand out in this highly competitive market.

While Asus has yet to reveal full specifications or the exact design of the laptop, the teaser suggests it will join the ranks of the Zenbook S14 and Zenbook S16, which already feature powerful Intel and AMD processors.

The official launch event, set for January 7, 2025, will provide all the details, including pricing and availability. The event will also be streamed globally, allowing tech enthusiasts around the world to tune in and catch the latest updates.

Asus continues to push the envelope in the ultrathin laptop category, and this new release promises to offer an exciting combination of performance, portability, and battery life for users on the go. Stay tuned for more details as CES 2025 approaches.
