Apple Rolls Out watchOS 11.3 Beta 3: Sparse Features, Quick Cycle Expected

Apple Watch S8

Apple has released the third beta of watchOS 11.3 to developers. This update follows the recent beta 3 releases for tvOS and HomePod software.

What’s New in Beta 3?

So far, watchOS 11.3 has no exclusive features or major updates. Across Apple’s platforms, minor changes include:

  • Robot vacuum support in the Home app for compatible devices.
  • A fix for the Calculator app.
  • Genmoji support on macOS.

Like last year, Apple’s x.3 updates appear to focus on stability and bug fixes rather than new features.

Short Beta Cycle Likely

Apple’s x.3 updates historically follow a quick beta cycle. Last year, only three betas were released before the final RC (release candidate) version.

If the same pattern holds, the public release of watchOS 11.3 could happen by the end of January.

What’s Missing?

While watchOS has received its update, beta 3 for iPhone, iPad, and Mac platforms is still unavailable. Developers are eagerly awaiting news on when those updates will arrive.
