Apple Reports Best-Ever Earnings, but iPhone Sales Slip

Apple’s holiday quarter results show impressive growth, despite a dip in iPhone revenue.

Blockbuster Earnings

Apple has reported a record $124.3 billion in revenue, a 4% increase from last year, marking the best quarter ever for the company. Significant growth was seen in the Mac, iPad, and services divisions.

iPhone Sales Dip

However, iPhone revenue has seen a slight decline year-over-year, suggesting that Apple Intelligence and new features like the Camera Control button may not be driving substantial sales increases.

CEO Tim Cook dismissed the idea that the new AI-powered features weren’t effective, noting stronger iPhone 16 performance in regions where these features were rolled out.

Challenges and Future Plans

While the iPhone 16 models were well-priced, the dip in sales could also reflect fewer people upgrading to the Pro variants.

Apple has only recently made Apple Intelligence available by default, and new Siri improvements are expected soon.
