iOS 18

Apple continues to innovate with iOS updates, and 2025 is set to bring a host of exciting features to iPhones.

With iOS 18.3 and iOS 18.4 rolling out in the first four months, users can expect major improvements in Siri, notifications, and more. Here’s what’s coming:

Siri Gets Smarter

Apple is transforming Siri into a more intelligent assistant with three major upgrades:

New App Actions: Siri will perform hundreds of tasks in Apple and third-party apps without needing to open them.

Personal Context Knowledge: Siri can reference texts, calendar events, and other personal data for more relevant assistance.

Onscreen Awareness: Siri will understand what’s on your screen, making it easier to take action based on your current activity.

These enhancements, combined with ChatGPT integration introduced in iOS 18.2, aim to deliver a seamless user experience.

Priority Notifications

Managing notifications will become simpler with Priority Notifications, a feature that highlights the most important alerts at the top of the stack.

Notifications will also be summarized, allowing users to scan through them quickly.

New Emojis

iOS 18.3 and 18.4 will introduce several new emojis, including:

  • Face with bags under eyes
  • Fingerprint
  • Leafless tree
  • Root vegetable
  • Harp
  • Shovel
  • Splatter

Sketch Style in Image Playground

Apple’s Image Playground app, launched in iOS 18.2, will gain a new Sketch style. This style can be applied to new creations or existing images, complementing the current Animation and Illustration styles.

Robot Vacuum Integration in Home App

Starting with iOS 18.3, the Home app will support robot vacuums, enabling users to control their devices through the app or Siri.

Expanded Language Support

Apple Intelligence will add support for several new languages in iOS 18.4, including Chinese, English (India and Singapore), French, German, Spanish, and more.

What’s Next?

These updates are just a glimpse of what Apple has planned for iOS in 2025.

With WWDC in June, even more exciting features for iOS 19 will be unveiled. Stay tuned for the latest developments!
