Apple Introduces AI Image Features in iOS 18.2

Apple Intelligence Features

iOS 18.2 introduces exciting new features under Apple Intelligence, including Image Playground, Genmoji, and Image Wand. These tools bring powerful image creation capabilities to iPhones and iPads.

Image Playground lets users generate original images by typing descriptions or following prompts. Available both as a standalone app and integrated into existing apps like Messages, Keynote, and Pages, it offers three styles: Animation, Illustration, and Sketch (with Sketch coming later). It focuses on fun, animated images to prevent the creation of deepfakes.

Genmoji allows users to create custom emojis directly from the emoji keyboard. Simply type a description, and Apple Intelligence generates up to four new emojis, which can be used across apps like Messages and social media.

Image Wand, exclusive to iPadOS 18.2, enhances the Apple Pencil (or finger) to create and refine images in Apple Notes. It can beautify existing sketches or generate new images based on context.

These tools are set to inspire creativity and ensure responsible image generation with limited, stylized options.
