Apple Announces Apple Pay & Wallet Terms Revisions—Months Later

Apple Pay

Apple has started notifying users about updates to its Apple Pay and Wallet terms, despite these changes going into effect three months ago, in September 2024.

The revised terms simplify the review process across Apple devices and include new assignment provisions.

For US users, Apple Pay is now formally offered by Apple Payments Services LLC, a subsidiary of Apple Inc.

The email also includes an updated privacy notice, but no significant changes in terms are highlighted.

While the updates are not especially impactful, the delay in notifying users has raised some eyebrows. The revised terms are available for review on Apple’s website.
