Dual SIM RCS Now Available in Google Messages Beta for Android Users

Google Messages has begun rolling out dual SIM support for RCS (Rich Communication Services), allowing users to have RCS active on both SIM cards simultaneously.

This feature is now available in a wider beta release as of January 13, 2025, and is being tested on various devices, including those with both physical SIMs and eSIMs.

Previously, Google Messages only allowed RCS on one phone number at a time. With the new update, users can now have RCS connected on both SIMs, with the option to enable or disable each SIM from the “Settings > RCS chats” menu.

The feature works across different carriers, including Google Fi, T-Mobile, and Verizon, and is compatible with devices like Samsung phones.

The update is rolling out gradually, with some users reporting the feature in the stable release (version 20241120_00_RC07) and the latest beta version (20250112_00_RC00).

While the feature is expanding, not all users have access yet. Google is rolling it out server-side, so users may need to restart their phones to check for the update.
