Apple’s product announcements have been light so far in 2025, with the Black Unity Sport Loop being the main release. But as we approach spring, five major Apple products are expected to make their debut.
1. iPhone SE 4
One of the biggest announcements this spring will be the new iPhone SE, Apple’s most affordable iPhone. This upgrade is expected to be the most significant since the iPhone SE’s 2016 launch. The iPhone SE 4 will likely ditch the home button and adopt a design similar to the iPhone 14.
It will also be the first iPhone to feature Apple’s in-house modem, moving away from Qualcomm. USB-C will replace the Lightning connector, and there’s even speculation that Apple may rename it “iPhone 16E.”
2. iPad 11
Apple’s cheapest iPad is set to receive its first update in over two years. There won’t be any major design changes, but the iPad 11 will likely get the A17 Pro chip, similar to the iPad mini. This chip first appeared in the iPhone 15 Pro in 2023, giving the budget iPad a significant performance boost.
3. MacBook Air with M4
The MacBook Air will see a small refresh with the addition of the new M4 chip this spring. While we don’t expect major design changes, the upgrade will improve performance. There’s even speculation that the MacBook Air could launch sooner than expected. Fans are also hoping for new features like the Center Stage camera, similar to the one found in the latest MacBook Pros.
4. M3 iPad Air
A refresh of the iPad Air is also expected, likely with the new M3 chip. It will also come with a new Magic Keyboard designed specifically for the iPad Air. This update is expected in the spring, continuing Apple’s push to improve its mid-range tablet lineup.
5. Smart Home Display
Apple’s first smart home product with a display is expected to launch as soon as next month. This device will feature a 7-inch square display and will be wall-mountable or attachable to speakers. It will also include support for Apple Intelligence, marking the company’s first entry into the smart home display market.
In addition to these major products, Apple is rumored to release an updated AirTag with a newer ultra-wideband chipset. Products like the Mac Studio and Mac Pro aren’t expected until mid-2025. iOS 18.4 will also likely be released in the spring, featuring the revamped Siri and other Apple Intelligence updates.
