Redmi K80 Pro Unveiled with 6,000mAh Battery, 120W Charging, & More

Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi K80 Pro, a flagship device that packs cutting-edge hardware at an impressive starting price of CNY 3,700 (~$510/€485/₹43,200).

Design and Durability

Despite the larger battery, the phone remains relatively sleek at 8.4mm thickness and weighs 212g. It also introduces IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, a step up from the K70 Pro.

Display

The K80 Pro features a 6.67-inch OLED display with a QHD+ resolution, 12-bit colors, and support for HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HDR Vivid. It delivers an incredible peak brightness of 3,200 nits while being 8% more efficient thanks to its upgraded materials. The display is protected by Xiaomi Dragon Crystal 2.0 glass and integrates an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

Performance and Cooling

The Redmi K80 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, one of the most powerful chipsets on the market. To manage the heat generated by such high performance, Xiaomi has introduced a 3D dual-loop vapor chamber cooling system that can lower temperatures by up to 3°C. A dedicated D1 chip further enhances gaming with features like super-resolution and frame generation, optimizing power efficiency.

Equipped with a massive 6,000mAh battery, the K80 Pro offers 20% more capacity than its predecessor, the K70 Pro. This battery is rated for 1,600 charge cycles and supports 120W wired charging, capable of fully charging in just 28 minutes. Additionally, 50W wireless fast charging adds to its convenience.

The phone boasts a triple-camera setup:
