Xiaomi has officially introduced the Redmi A4 5G in India, the first smartphone with Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor.
Available from November 27, the device offers two variants: a 4/64GB model priced at INR 8,499 ($100) and a 4/128GB version at INR 9,499 ($112), both in Sparkle Purple and Starry Black colors.
The smartphone features a 6.88-inch IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP rear camera, and an 8MP front camera.
Running on Xiaomi’s HyperOS based on Android 14, it promises two years of software updates and four years of security patches.
A 5,160mAh battery with 18W fast charging and a 33W charger in the box, along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, headphone jack, and microSD card slot, makes this a compelling budget 5G smartphone option for Indian consumers.
