What’s New in Apple Music with iOS 26 Update

Apple announced new features for Apple Music as part of the iOS 26 update during the WWDC 2025 event. This update marks Apple Music’s tenth anniversary and brings a fresh look and several new tools for users.

One of the main changes is the new Liquid Glass design. This translucent style makes the app look modern and helps users focus on their music. Apple also introduced AutoMix, a DJ-style feature that mixes songs smoothly, creating a seamless listening experience.

Apple Music will soon add a lyrics translation feature to help users understand songs in different languages. There is also a lyrics pronunciation tool that makes it easier to sing along correctly in any language.

Another useful update is the ability to pin favorite songs, artists, albums, or playlists to the top of the music library. Users can choose quick actions like playing or shuffling directly from a long press. The Lock Screen now supports animated album covers that take over the screen when playing music, adding more visual charm.

Apple also improved its widgets, letting users pin favorite tunes for easy access.

There are rumors that Apple is working on a bigger Apple Music reboot featuring an AI DJ. This AI would help suggest songs and create playlists like Spotify’s personalized features. However, Apple has not confirmed when this update will arrive.

The iOS 26 update is still in beta and will be released to the public this fall, likely alongside the iPhone 17.
