Apple February 19 Events

As Apple continues to roll out exciting new updates and products, spring 2025 is shaping up to be a busy season.

After the release of the iPhone 16e, attention is now turning toward upcoming upgrades and new product categories. Here’s a look at what we can expect:

1. M4 MacBook Air

The 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models are expected to get an upgrade with the M4 chip. While there’s little expectation of significant design changes, the focus will be on the improved performance the M4 chip brings.

According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, new MacBook Air models are “coming soon,” with inventory already running low in retail stores, suggesting that the refresh could arrive in the near future.

2. iPad Air

The iPad Air is in line for an update, likely to include either the M3 or M4 chip. While the design is expected to remain largely unchanged, this performance boost will position the iPad Air as an even more capable device in Apple’s lineup.

There’s some debate about whether it will be the M3 or M4, but it seems clear that an upgrade is imminent. Gurman confirmed that new iPad Air models are also “coming soon.”

3. Low-Cost iPad

Apple’s 11th-generation iPad is expected to arrive with a new chip, possibly the A17 Pro chip, offering improvements in processing power. The next-gen iPad will likely support Wi-Fi 6E and include Apple’s C1 modem chip, debuted with the iPhone 16e.

This updated tablet may also come with 8GB of RAM to support Apple’s growing AI features, such as those found in the iPhone 15 Pro. This product is already in production, with shipments starting as early as December 2024.

4. Smart Home Command Center

Apple is working on a smart home hub to serve as a central command center for managing connected devices. The accessory could have an iPad-like design, bringing a more interactive experience to smart home management.

Initially expected to launch in early 2025, delays could push the release to later in the year due to dependencies on iOS 18.4 and iOS 19. Gurman and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo both suggest the launch could happen later in 2025, possibly in the second or third quarter.

With all these exciting updates, Apple is positioning itself for a strong spring season. Keep an eye out for announcements, as any surprise launches could make the lineup even more impressive.
