Amazon Prime Video has announced a new prequel series to the hit superhero show “The Boys” titled “Vought Rising.”
Set in 1950s New York, the series will explore the origins of the evil corporation Vought and its notorious Compound V.
Vought Rising Release Date
An official release date for “Vought Rising” has not been announced yet. The series is currently in development, with Paul Grellong serving as showrunner and executive producer alongside “The Boys” creator Eric Kripke.
Vought Rising Cast
Two familiar faces from “The Boys” will be reprising their roles in the prequel:
- Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy
- Aya Cash as Stormfront (known then as Clara Vought)
No other cast members have been confirmed yet, but more returning characters and new supes are expected to join the series.
Vought Rising Plot
“Vought Rising” will follow a twisted murder mystery about the early days of Vought and the development of Compound V in the post-WWII era. It will dive into the exploits of Soldier Boy and the diabolical schemes of Stormfront, who was using the alias Clara Vought at the time.
Kripke and Grellong described the prequel as a “salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V” that will blow viewers’ minds.

No trailer for “Vought Rising” has been released yet, as the series is still in the early stages of production. Fans will have to wait for more updates and promotional material from Amazon Prime Video in the coming months.
