Universal Audio (UA) has introduced the Apollo X Gen 2 Series, a significant upgrade to its best-selling audio interfaces.

Designed for Mac and Windows, the new series offers cutting-edge tools for professionals and home creators, promising faster workflows and superior sound quality.

Enhanced Audio Quality

The Apollo X Gen 2 features upgraded 24-bit/192kHz A/D and D/A converters, ensuring the highest audio resolution in UA’s lineup to date. This update reflects UA’s commitment to precision and transparency, making it easier for creators to achieve pro-level mixes and masters.

Built-in Tools for Seamless Workflow

One of the standout features is the new Assistive Auto-Gain, which simplifies level-setting with just one click. Creators can quickly achieve the perfect recording levels without worrying about distortion or clipping, keeping the creative process uninterrupted.

Another innovation is Monitor Correction, a DSP-powered calibration tool developed in partnership with Sonarworks. It adjusts headphones, speakers, and room acoustics in real-time, ensuring consistent sound quality across different playback systems.

Advanced Plugins for Creativity

The Apollo X Gen 2 comes with Antares Auto-Tune as standard, alongside Universal Audio’s renowned UAD plugins. These include classic effects for vocals, guitar amp emulations, and vintage studio sounds. With these tools, creators can produce album-quality tracks from any studio setup.

A Legacy of Innovation

Universal Audio CEO Bill Putnam Jr. explained the philosophy behind the upgrade. “Our goal is to build tools that disappear into the creative process, letting artists focus on their music. The Apollo X Gen 2 represents a leap forward, combining precision, ease of use, and our legacy of vintage tones.”

Availability

The Apollo X Gen 2 Series is available now through authorized retailers. Buyers can choose from Essentials+, Studio+, and Ultimate+ editions, each tailored for different levels of production. For more details, visit www.uaudio.com.
