Netflix has confirmed that Troll 2, the sequel to one of its most popular non-English movies, is set for release in 2025.

The first Troll movie, which garnered 103 million views, follows a giant monster awakening in the Norwegian mountains, causing chaos in a small community. The sequel will once again be directed by Roar Uthaug, with Espen Aukan returning as writer.

Plot details remain under wraps, but the film will feature a new cast, including Sara Khorami, Jon Ketil Johnsen, and Gard B. Eidsvold.

Troll received critical acclaim, boasting a 90% score on Rotten Tomatoes, and now fans can look forward to a thrilling follow-up.

The sequel’s production was revealed at Netflix’s international showcase event, alongside other major releases. Troll 2 is expected to continue the monster adventure, but specific plot details are yet to be revealed.
