The Android port of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask has added touch controls, completing its feature set. This port is part of the open-source 2Ship2Harkinian project, which recreates the game’s code to run natively on modern platforms.
This unofficial port, created by Harbour Masters 64, already supports higher framerates, widescreen output, and other upgrades.
Touch controls make the port more accessible for Android users, surpassing traditional emulators, which often have issues with performance and compatibility.
Unlike emulators, the 2Ship2Harkinian project isn’t piracy. Users must provide their own game ROM to convert its assets into a native executable.
This process creates a legal way to enjoy the game with enhancements like ray tracing and randomizers.
In addition, Harbour Masters 64 announced a new project called Starship, which will bring Star Fox 64 to modern platforms. The team showed early footage of this work, and more updates are expected in the future.
The updated version (1.1.1) of 2ship2harkinian-Android is now available on GitHub. Users can find installation guides and additional details about this project online.
