Meta’s Threads saw over 35 million signups in November, with daily signups averaging more than a million for three consecutive months, according to a Meta spokesperson.
Of these, 20 million signups happened after November 14th, adding to the 15 million reported earlier by Instagram head Adam Mosseri.
Meanwhile, Bluesky, a competing platform, has grown rapidly too. It crossed 15 million users earlier this month and now has over 22 million users after several days of adding about a million signups daily.
Threads has responded to Bluesky’s momentum by introducing features like custom following feeds and testing a default follows-only feed.
These updates aim to attract and retain users as competition heats up in the Twitter-alternative space.
