At CES 2025, the Swippitt gadget made its debut, offering a revolutionary way to extend your phone’s battery life.
Unlike traditional battery cases, which require you to wait for charging, the Swippitt instantly swaps a depleted battery in your phone case for a freshly charged one in just a few seconds.
The Swippitt hub has five batteries that are constantly charged and maintained, ready to be swapped into your phone’s case as needed. This device works with iPhone 14, 15, and 16 models, with Android support coming later.
However, it comes with a hefty price tag: $450 for the hub and $120 for the Link case, making it one of the more expensive solutions for battery life.
The Swippitt is designed as a household device, allowing multiple users to share it. The RFID technology in the hub enables you to reserve a specific battery for your phone.
While the device is convenient, the bulky case and high cost may deter many users. Until the price drops, most people will likely stick with traditional charging methods.
