Marvel is bringing two iconic characters together for a massive crossover: Godzilla vs. Spider-Man! The comic, set to release on April 30, 2025, promises an epic showdown between New York City’s wall-crawling hero and the King of Monsters.

What’s the Story?

This isn’t just Spider-Man versus Godzilla—it’s Spider-Man in one of his most powerful forms. The story takes place after Marvel’s Secret Wars, meaning Peter Parker will be wearing his black symbiote suit. This twist opens the door to a wild possibility: what if the symbiote latches onto Godzilla?

The comic will feature the creative duo of Joe Kelly (Deadpool, The Amazing Spider-Man) and Nick Bradshaw (Fantastic Four, Wolverine and the X-Men). Joe Kelly expressed his excitement, calling the crossover “a chance to go nuts” and create a love letter to both characters.

What Can Fans Expect?

Fans will see Peter Parker try to stop Godzilla in the middle of New York City. With his symbiote suit enhancing his strength and reflexes, Spider-Man will need all the help he can get against the giant kaiju. Meanwhile, fans speculate that a Venomized Godzilla could appear, combining two iconic threats in one terrifying form.

More Marvel and Godzilla Crossovers

Spider-Man isn’t the only Marvel character facing Godzilla this year. In March, Marvel will launch a six-part mini-series featuring Godzilla fighting the Hulk, the Fantastic Four, and potentially more heroes like the Avengers or X-Men.

Marvel is following the success of similar crossovers. DC Comics recently released Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong, which gave fans wild moments like King Kong becoming a Green Lantern. Marvel’s take on the kaiju promises to deliver equally exciting battles.

When Can You Read It?

Godzilla vs. Spider-Man #1 hits shelves on April 30, 2025. With stunning artwork and a creative team passionate about both characters, this is a must-read for fans of Marvel and kaiju alike.

Will Spider-Man’s brains and symbiote-powered brawn be enough to stop Godzilla? Or will the King of Monsters crush New York’s favorite hero? Fans can’t wait to find out.
