Smaller Surface Pro and Laptop Devices Coming from Microsoft

Microsoft is preparing to launch smaller versions of its popular Surface Pro and Surface Laptop devices.

These new models are expected to have 11-inch and 12-inch displays, respectively, and could be announced soon, possibly at a business-focused event later this month.

The new devices will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X and X Plus chipsets, which suggests they may not be as high-end as the current Surface Pro 11 and Surface Laptop 7 models.

Instead, these smaller devices could replace the Surface Go and Surface Laptop Go series, which have not seen major updates in recent years.

The smaller Surface Pro is expected to have an 11-inch display, up from the 10.5-inch display of the Surface Go series.

The Surface Laptop model will feature a 12-inch display, slightly larger than the 12.3-inch screen of the Surface Laptop Go.

These new devices will likely be priced between $800 and $900, making them more expensive than previous Go series models.

In addition to the new Snapdragon-powered devices, Microsoft is also working on Intel-powered Surface models for business customers.

These models, including versions of the Surface Pro 11 and Surface Laptop 7, are expected to feature Intel Lunar Lake processors and 5G support.
