A contestant from Beast Games has claimed that multiple players were disqualified for stealing from the massive $5 million prize pile, forcing MrBeast to bring in alternate players.
Players Removed for Stealing from the Prize
Adam Dunlap, contestant #600, shared behind-the-scenes details about the game show in an Instagram clip.
He revealed that the competition didn’t actually start in Toronto with 1,000 players, but instead began in Las Vegas with 2,000 participants.
The 1,000 survivors from Las Vegas advanced to the Amazon Prime series, but some players dropped out before filming began.
Others were disqualified after they were caught stealing money from the $5 million prize pile.
Alternates Were Brought In to Replace Disqualified Players
To replace the disqualified contestants, MrBeast’s team chose alternates from the pool of players who had been eliminated in Las Vegas.
However, Dunlap noted that several of these alternate players accepted bribes from MrBeast early in the show, leading to their elimination.
He also claimed that at least one disqualified contestant had made it into the top 50 before being removed.
Beast Games Set to Return for Another Season
Despite the controversy, Beast Games has been a massive success. The winner took home an unprecedented $10 million after correctly guessing a coin flip in the final episode.
MrBeast has already confirmed that a second season is guaranteed, with the possibility of a third season as well.
He praised his experience working with Prime Video, saying, “There’s no way we’re not making a second season.”
Fans who missed Beast Games can watch the full season on Prime Video, while the first three episodes are available on YouTube.
