Mikayla Raines, a popular YouTuber and founder of the animal rescue organization Save A Fox, died by suicide at age 31. Her husband Ethan Raines confirmed her death in a video posted on their YouTube channel.

Mikayla had struggled with severe mental health issues including depression, autism, and borderline personality disorder. She had received therapy and medication for years but continued to face challenges.

Online Harassment Contributed to Her Death

Ethan revealed that Mikayla faced constant online harassment and bullying. The attacks came from strangers and people she knew personally, including other animal sanctuaries.

The harassment involved spreading false claims and rumors about her. These attacks deeply hurt Mikayla, who was sensitive by nature. Though she endured years of negativity, recent harassment became too much for her to bear.

Her YouTube channel showed her work caring for rescued animals. She was known for being selfless and putting the animals’ needs first.

Survivors

Mikayla is survived by her husband Ethan, their toddler daughter Freya, her mother, and the many animals she cared for at Save A Fox.

Her death highlights the serious impact of online harassment and the importance of mental health support.
