Satechi Offers Solution to Mac mini Power Button Issue with New Dock

Satechi has revealed more details about its upcoming docking solution for the latest Apple Mac mini.

The dock, set to launch next month, promises to offer added functionality with features like USB Type-A ports, an SD card reader, and M.2 SSD expansion.

One standout feature of the dock is its cut-out design, which provides easier access to the Mac mini’s bottom-mounted power button—a convenience that other docks currently lack.

The Mac mini’s power button has been a point of discussion, as Apple placed it at the bottom of the device, making it less accessible.

While other docking solutions have focused on SSD expansion and USB ports, Satechi’s dock aims to address this usability issue by allowing users to easily press the power button without moving the device.

Priced at $99.99, Satechi’s dock is set to be available in the US next month, with a broader release planned for March.

While it may be priced higher than some other options, the added convenience and features could make it an appealing choice for Mac mini owners.
