Samsung’s foldable phones have received some mixed reviews lately, but the Galaxy Z Fold 7 could bring the significant improvements that fans have been hoping for.
Rumors are circulating that the 2025 model will feature a bigger screen, a better under-display camera, and a more durable design.
According to new reports, the Z Fold 7 will sport an 8-inch main screen and a 6.5-inch cover display, both of which are bigger than the Z Fold 6’s 7.6-inch and 6.3-inch screens. This could make the foldable experience even better, offering more screen space for users.
Better Under-Display Camera and Tougher Design
One of the key upgrades in the Z Fold 7 is expected to be the under-display camera (UDC). While Samsung has struggled with the technology, the new version could be improved for better performance and durability. However, future foldables might ditch the under-display camera entirely, according to some rumors.
Camera and Performance Improvements
The main camera could see a massive upgrade, possibly moving to 200MP, a huge jump from the 50MP sensor in the current model. Inside, the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip will provide faster performance, and the higher IP rating will offer better dust and water resistance.
There are also rumors of a slimmer design, with the Z Fold 7 possibly being only 4.5mm thick when unfolded. The fold could be smoother with a less noticeable crease on the screen.
Better Cooling and Durability
Samsung is also expected to add a bigger vapor chamber for better cooling during intense tasks like gaming. This would help maintain performance and prevent overheating.
The Z Fold 7 is shaping up to be a much more powerful, durable, and feature-packed device, and it could be the foldable phone fans have been waiting for.
