Samsung Galaxy S26 Series to Feature Exynos Chips in a Comeback Move

Samsung Exynos Chip

Samsung is reportedly planning a significant return to its in-house Exynos chips with the Galaxy S26 series, expected to launch in January 2026.

This follows a rumored shift to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for the Galaxy S25 series due to production issues with the Exynos 2500 chip.

Exynos 2600: A Fresh Start?

According to tipsters, the Exynos 2600 is set to power most Galaxy S26 models. This decision aims to reduce Samsung’s dependence on Qualcomm for its high-end devices.

The Exynos 2500, which faced yield problems, may instead be used in the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Flip FE.

Business Strategy

While unconfirmed, this move aligns with Samsung’s long-term goal of leveraging its own chips to boost profitability and control.

However, the success of this strategy hinges on overcoming the production challenges that plagued its predecessor.

Stay tuned for more updates as Samsung’s plans unfold.
