Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra, with the Galaxy Unpacked event rescheduled to February 25, 2026, in San Francisco. This is later than the usual mid-to-late January launch used for previous models.

The S26 Ultra will remain the flagship, while the S26 and S26+ fill the standard and mid-tier spaces. Plans for a new S26 Edge were reportedly scrapped due to weak sales of the S25 Edge, and the entry-level S26 Pro will maintain a similar $799 price point as its predecessor.

The Galaxy Unpacked invites are expected to go out around February 9, following Samsung’s usual two-week lead time. The timing positions Samsung just ahead of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (March 2), ensuring the company dominates the tech conversation.

Later in 2026, Samsung may release a fourth Galaxy S26 model — the S26 FE (Fan Edition). Following the pattern of previous FE models, it will offer a mid-range experience at a lower cost, arriving several months after the main lineup.

Pre-orders for the Galaxy S26 family are likely to open immediately after the Unpacked keynote, probably around February 22. Samsung typically offers trade-in bonuses, discounts, or storage upgrades, although rising RAM and storage costs may impact the popular “double storage” offer.

Reviews for the Galaxy S26 Ultra are expected to appear shortly after the launch. Past years show the first hardware reviews appearing about a week after initial sales, often coinciding with major tech events like Mobile World Congress.

Retail availability is expected roughly two weeks after the Unpacked event, likely on March 6 or March 13, 2026, depending on Samsung’s scheduling preferences. Pre-orders, reviews, and early coverage will set the stage for a strong initial launch.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra promises to continue Samsung’s tradition of premium design and cutting-edge features, while the S26 and S26+ cater to more standard users. Fans and tech enthusiasts will watch closely as the launch unfolds.
