The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is set to be unveiled on January 22, 2024, with a release date of February 6 in most markets.

The new flagship is expected to maintain the same price as its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, with the base 256GB model priced at €1,449.

However, there are reports that Samsung may double the storage for free, offering a 512GB version instead.

New Design and Build

The Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature a fresh design, including more rounded corners for better ergonomics.

The 6.8-inch screen will have slimmer bezels, potentially reducing the phone’s overall size, though it will still be large.

The display will be protected by next-gen Gorilla Glass Armor, offering improved durability and less reflection compared to previous models.

The phone will be available in seven colors, including Titanium SilverBlue, Titanium WhiteSilver, Titanium Gray, Titanium JadeGreen, Titanium PinkGold, Titanium Black, and Titanium JetBlack. Some colors may be exclusive to Samsung’s online store.

Camera Upgrades

Samsung is upgrading the ultrawide camera to a 50 MP ISOCELL GN3 sensor, improving low-light performance with a brighter f/2.0 lens.

The main camera will remain the 200 MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor, while the telephoto and zoom lenses will stay the same as the S24 Ultra. The front-facing camera will be a 12 MP ISOCELL S5K3LU sensor.

Performance Boost

The Galaxy S25 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which will be used globally.

There are also reports suggesting that the device could feature up to 16GB of RAM, matching its competitors in the high-end smartphone market.

One UI 7 and Gemini Advanced

The Galaxy S25 Ultra will launch with One UI 7, based on Android 15. One of the most anticipated features is seamless updates, allowing users to continue using their phone while updates are installed in the background.

Additionally, Samsung will offer a year of free Gemini Advanced, a paid version of Google’s AI, which includes 2TB of Google Drive storage.

Final Thoughts

With a new design, improved cameras, the latest Snapdragon chip, and One UI 7 with seamless updates, the Galaxy S25 Ultra looks like a solid upgrade over the S24 Ultra.

Whether these changes are enough to sway current S24 Ultra users will depend on individual priorities, but the new features certainly make it an exciting option for those looking to upgrade.
