Samsung has introduced the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A26, bringing several upgrades to its mid-range lineup.
Both phones come with IP67 dust and water resistance, promising durability and long-lasting software support with 6 years of OS updates and security patches.
Samsung Galaxy A36 Features
The Galaxy A36 is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, a notable shift from previous Exynos and Dimensity processors.
It starts with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, with an 8GB/256GB variant also available. The device features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080p+ resolution and 1,900 nits peak brightness.
Samsung has also upgraded the charging speed to 45W, filling the 5,000mAh battery to 66% in 30 minutes.
The camera system includes a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP macro lens. The selfie camera gets an upgrade to 12MP, now capable of recording 4K HDR videos.
The Galaxy A36 will launch with Android 15 and Samsung’s One UI 7, offering AI-powered features like Circle to Search and Object Eraser.
The phone starts at $400/€380 for the 128GB model and €450/£400 for the 256GB version.
Samsung Galaxy A26 Features
The Galaxy A26 is a more affordable option, retaining the Exynos 1380 chipset from last year’s A35.
It also sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED display but with a notch for the selfie camera instead of a punch hole. The phone supports 25W charging for its 5,000mAh battery.
The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro lens. However, the 13MP selfie camera lacks the HDR video feature found in the A36.
The Galaxy A26 starts at €300/$300 for the base model, with an 8GB/256GB option available in select markets.
Both phones are set to launch globally, offering solid performance, long-term software support, and durable designs in the mid-range segment.
