ROSÉ Gears Up for Solo Album with Warner Chappell Partnership

BLACKPINK’s ROSÉ has taken a major step in her solo career, signing a global publishing administration deal with Warner Chappell Music.

This move highlights her growing influence as a solo artist, as her single “APT.” (featuring Bruno Mars) continues to dominate the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts.

“APT.” has been a massive success, debuting at No. 1 on both global charts last month and maintaining its top position through the week of November 23.

The track also made its way into the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking ROSÉ’s solo presence in the highly competitive U.S. market.

This momentum sets the stage for her upcoming solo debut album rosie, scheduled to release on December 6. Speaking about her new partnership, ROSÉ shared, “I am beyond excited to join the team at Warner Chappell. There is so much more to come that I can’t wait to share — it’s going to be an amazing journey.”

Ryan Press, president of North America at Warner Chappell, echoed her enthusiasm. “ROSÉ has earned this moment, and it’s a huge honor to officially welcome her to our Warner Chappell family.

She’s breaking records, redefining K-pop, and paving the way for cross-cultural expression. Together with our partners at Atlantic, we’re ready to explore new creative opportunities for her songs and support her bold vision.”

Born in Auckland and raised in Melbourne, ROSÉ had her sights set on music from a young age. At 15, she moved to South Korea to pursue her dream, eventually joining BLACKPINK in 2016.

Over the years, BLACKPINK has achieved global fame, becoming the first K-pop girl group to grace the cover of Billboard, win a VMA, and headline Coachella.

While BLACKPINK’s hits like “Pink Venom,” “How You Like That,” and “Ice Cream” (with Selena Gomez) brought international success, the group’s members were not involved in songwriting, meaning they did not earn publishing royalties. Now, ROSÉ is taking control of her creative journey. She co-wrote her recent solo tracks “APT.” and “Number One Girl,” as well as two songs from her 2021 debut EP R.

This new partnership with Warner Chappell cements ROSÉ’s transition from performer to songwriter, paving the way for a more creative and autonomous chapter in her career. Fans can expect her signature sound and storytelling to shine brighter than ever in the upcoming album.
