It’s been over a year since Rockstar Games released the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, and fans are still waiting for the second.
As of December 20, 2024, the gap between the two trailers has reached 381 days, breaking the studio’s record for the longest wait between trailers.
Past Trailer Timelines
- GTA V: 378 days between trailers (Nov 2011 – Nov 2012)
- Red Dead Redemption II: 343 days (Oct 2016 – Sep 2017)
- GTA VI: 381+ days (Dec 2023 – TBD)
Despite fan frustration, Rockstar parent company Take-Two’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, has reiterated that the game will only release when it’s ready.
He promises that GTA VI will exceed expectations, describing it as “breathtaking” and “worth waiting for.”
