The race for bigger phone batteries is about to get even more competitive.

After several Chinese smartphone makers launched devices with 6,000 mAh batteries this year, rumors suggest that both Redmi and OnePlus will introduce phones with 7,000 mAh batteries in 2025.

With advancements in mobile chipset efficiency, battery life will likely no longer be a concern, even for heavy users.

The increase in battery size is expected to come without significant changes in phone thickness, thanks to the use of new silicon technology.

While the exact models from Redmi and OnePlus with the 7,000 mAh batteries haven’t been confirmed, it’s likely that the Redmi K90 series and OnePlus 14 will lead the charge.

More details will emerge as we get closer to the official announcements.
