Google has released the Android 15 February security update for a wide range of Pixel devices, including the Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, 8, 8 Pro, 8a, 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, 9 Pro Fold, Pixel Tablet, and Pixel Fold.

This update addresses 47 security vulnerabilities, with Google highlighting CVE-2024-53104 as a potential risk under limited, targeted exploitation.

Among the notable improvements, the update fixes an issue with Android Auto audio output, which was affecting certain users.

Additionally, a Bluetooth connectivity fix has been applied to prevent occasional failures when pairing with specific devices or accessories, improving overall stability.

The update is rolling out globally, with region-specific versions available for T-Mobile, Telstra, and EMEA regions. Users on T-Mobile and Telstra networks will receive slightly different builds, while those in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) will have an A1 version of the update.

With this security patch paving the way, Google is expected to introduce a more significant update next month, likely bringing new features and further optimizations for Android 15 on Pixel devices.

If you own a Pixel phone, you can check for the update by going to Settings > System > Software Update and downloading it as soon as it’s available.
