Pepsi Smart Cans

Pepsi has introduced its latest innovation: the Smart Can. Previewed at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, this futuristic concept aims to transform beverage packaging.

The Smart Can features a flexible 3D high-definition screen wrapped around each can, complete with its own SIM card. This technology allows Pepsi to customize content for individual consumers, opening up new possibilities for brand engagement and personalized experiences.

Mauro Porcini, PepsiCo’s chief design officer, describes it as a “CAN-vas for creativity,” promising new ways of storytelling that particularly appeal to younger generations. Mark Kirkham, CMO of international beverages at PepsiCo, highlights the innovative integration of product, brand, and message.

Initially, Pepsi plans to release Smart Cans to a select group of consumers worldwide, with more details expected in the coming months. This development represents a significant leap in packaging technology, potentially changing how we interact with our beverages in the future.
