    Park Sung-hoon Apologizes for Posting Explicit Content on Instagram

    Actor Park Sung-hoon, known for his role as Hyun-ju in Squid Game Season 2, has publicly apologized after sharing an explicit parody image related to the drama on his Instagram.

    The incident occurred on December 30, just days after the show’s release, when Park accidentally posted an image from a Japanese adult film parodying Squid Game. He quickly deleted the post but faced backlash.

    During a press interview in Seoul, Park explained that he received the image through a direct message on Instagram while preparing for a scheduled activity.

    Shocked by the content, he intended to forward it for review but inadvertently shared it on his story. He expressed deep regret and apologized for the mistake, acknowledging the harm it caused, especially during a time when both the drama and his character were receiving attention.

    Park became emotional during the interview, apologizing to his team and the affected parties. His agency also issued two apologies, clarifying that it was an unintentional mistake. Park vowed to be more cautious moving forward, ensuring that such an incident would not happen again.

    Park’s portrayal of Hyun-ju, a transgender woman and former special forces soldier seeking funds for gender confirmation surgery, has been one of the most talked-about aspects of Squid Game Season 2.
