JYP to Launch Fresh K-pop Boy Group KickFlip in 2025

JYP Entertainment is set to introduce its newest boy band, KickFlip, on January 1, 2025.

The seven-member group will debut as the entertainment giant’s first major act of the year, following in the footsteps of successful groups like TWICE, Stray Kids, and ITZY.

The name KickFlip is inspired by a skateboarding trick symbolizing skill and precision, reflecting the group’s ambitions.

While the identities of the members are still under wraps, there’s speculation that former LOUD trainees could be included in the lineup, as JYP had previously planned a group with these performers in 2022.

The first hints about KickFlip were shared at the 2024 MAMA Awards, where JYP founder Park Jin-young revealed that the group was in the final stages of preparation.

The agency promises to release more information about the group through their social media channels leading up to the debut.

KickFlip aims to break conventions and make a fresh impact on the K-pop scene, continuing JYP’s tradition of producing boy groups that leave a lasting legacy.
