Parents of NewJeans Members Accuse HYBE of Spreading False Rumors

The parents of NewJeans members have spoken out against the group’s agency, Ador, and its parent company, HYBE, amid an ongoing legal conflict.

The parents created a social media account on Friday to share their side of the story in the dispute, following the group’s decision to terminate their contract with Ador in November.

In December, Ador filed a lawsuit to confirm the validity of its exclusive contract with NewJeans. The agency also submitted an injunction in January to prevent the members from signing commercial deals independently.

The parents stated that the social media account was created due to the lack of an official communication channel and the difficulties they faced in conveying their position through traditional media. They also accused HYBE and Ador of spreading false information about the group.

According to the parents, HYBE and Ador have been releasing hundreds of articles that only represent their side of the story, often without proper fact-checking. The parents also expressed concern about the circulation of tabloid articles aimed at discrediting the members ahead of the injunction lawsuit.

The post clarified that the account would be used to share sensitive information that is difficult for the members to reveal themselves.

The parents apologized to fans for the ongoing dispute but emphasized that they had no choice but to take this step in order to correct the facts.

Meanwhile, NewJeans has been distancing itself from the agencies, with the members recently creating a separate social media account, Jeanzforfree, and continuing to operate without using the “NewJeans” name.
