After much anticipation, Samsung has finally started rolling out the One UI 7 Beta for the Galaxy S24 series in select countries.
Users in the U.S., U.K., India, Poland, Germany, and South Korea can now register for the beta through the Samsung Members app.
One UI 7 Beta brings several new features and improvements, including a redesigned Quick Settings panel, new AI tools, and an updated camera user interface. Some key highlights include:
- Now Bar: Similar to iOS’s Live Activities, this feature shows ongoing tasks like music, timers, and more right on the lock screen.
- AI Call Transcripts: You can now get call transcripts in over 20 languages.
- Writing Assist Tools: These tools help you write using on-device AI.
- Redesigned Widgets & Lock Screen: The update brings new looks to your home screen and lock screen widgets.
- Improved Quick Settings: The Quick Settings menu has been revamped for a cleaner, more intuitive design.
The stable One UI 7 update is expected to be available in the last week of January 2025, coinciding with the launch of the Galaxy S25 series. The beta will also be extended to the Galaxy S23 series and other Samsung devices in the coming weeks.
